Lin Gao (S'08-M'10-SM'16) is an Associate Professor at the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, China. He received Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2010, and worked as a Postdoct Research Fellow in the Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong during 2010-2015. His main research interests are in the interdisciplinary area between game theory and AI, with applications in wireless communications, mobile computing, and networking. He has also co-authored 3 books in prestigious publishers and published more than 100 papers (with 3800 citations in Google Scholar) in leading international journals and conference proceedings of communications and networking, including 2 ESI Highly Cited Papers. He is the co-recipient of 4 Best Paper Awards from WiOpt 2013-2015 and IEEE WCNC 2019. He received the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2016.
Dr. Gao is currently an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, an Associate Editor of China Communications, and a Vice Chair of IEEE Technical Committee on Cognitive Networks. He served as a Symposium Chair of IEEE ICC 2020, a TPC Vice Chair of WiOpt 2018, a Publicity & Social Media Chair of GameNets 2017, and Publicity Chair of IEEE Workshop on Smart Data Pricing (SDP 2015). He also served as a Technical Program Committee Member for many leading IEEE conferences (including INFOCOM, ICC, GLOBECOM, etc).

We have openings for PhD students in the interdisciplinary research of mobile computing, machine learning, and game theory. Research topics include but are not limited to edge computing, crowd intelligence, network game theory, reinforcement learning, and federated learning. An applicant with a Master degree needs to have publications in leading IEEE/ACM conferences/journals, and an applicant with a Bachelor degree needs to have a top 10% GPA from a top university, with evidences of strong research potential and leadership capability. Dr. Ke Xu is a full professor of School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. He received his B.Eng. degrees in Optoelectronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in 2010, and his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014. He was a visiting scholar in National Chiao Tung University in 2012 and Yale University  from 2013 to 2014. In 2015, he joined Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. Dr. Xu’s research interest is nanophotonics, integrated photonics, and their applications in high-speed optical interconnects, smart sensing, optical computing and ect. Dr. Xu has published more than 150 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings including Nature Photonics, Nature Communications, Optica, etc. He has also published 2 invited journal articles and delivered more than 20 invited talks in conferences.
Dr Xu is a senior member of IEEE. He was one of the recipients of IEEE Photonics Society Graduate Student Fellowship, 2013, Hong Kong Young Scientist Award. His recent work has been selected as Top-ten Advances in Optics in China, 2019. He has served as the principal investigator for more than 10 research projects supported by NSFC, Guangdong Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar, etc. In recent years, he served as TPC member in conferences like OECC, CLEO-PR, ACP and etc. He serves as the reviewer of RGC project in Hong Kong and NSFC projects, and serves as the editor of MDPI Photonics. Dr. Xu’s lab has a complete micro/nano fabrication facilities including E-beam lithography, ICP, DRIE, E-beam evaporator, PECVD, SEM, AFM and so on.

Dr. Kai Xu Wang is an associate professor of School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic and Communication Engineering from South China University of Technology, in 2012 and 2015, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong in 2018. In 2019, he joined Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). Dr. Wang’s research interest lies in Antennas, Millimeter-Wave and Terahertz Technologies, RF circuits and Functional Material Technologies. Dr. Wang has published more than 40 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He was a recipient of the Outstanding Master Thesis Award from the South China University of Technology in 2016, the Best Paper Award at the 2017 IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics held in London, U.K., and the Best Student Award at the 17th IEEE Macau/HK AP/MTT Postgraduate Conference held in Macau.

Dr. Xiaochuan Xu is a professor of School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology, in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. In 2019, he joined Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). Dr. Xu’s research interest is integrated photonics and its applications in optical interconnect and sensing. Dr. Xu has published more than 130 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He has served as the principal investigator and co-principal investigator for more than 10 research projects supported by federal agencies including Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), National Institute of Health (NIH), Department of Energy (DOE), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Dr. Xu is currently leading a Guangdong-Hong Kong joint research team developing high performance silicon-organic hybrid photonic devices. He is also a senior member of OSA, IEEE and SPIE.
Research Area:1) ultra-high speed modulator; 2) optical phased array for inter-spacecraft communication.
